Project Empower is a national ‘workshop roadtrip’ that empowers teenage girls in rural and remote Australia to reach their leadership potential.
The purpose of Project Empower is to educate about gender equality, build self-esteem and encourage girls to embrace their leadership strengths. It’s a tailor-made, uplifting and educational workshop series created by the C2C Team.
How? In 2018, we drove over 32,000km to reach 3,500 girls across 81 bush communities. We travelled for 3.5 months to high schools in regional, rural and remote towns in every state and territory. The journey continued for participants through an online alumni network.
Our content is discussion-based and focuses on issues like self-esteem, sexual harassment, respectful relationships, intersectionality, leadership styles, and goal-setting to support the girls’ futures.
We are currently planning for Project Empower Phase 2. Stay tuned!
