We were thrilled to unveil TWELVE winners of Country to Canberra’s 2016 Leadership Competition – more champions than ever before! The 2016 winners were an exciting group of young female rural leaders, who submitted passionate videos and stories about gender equality and rural Australia. The winners were:

NSW: Elise Toyer of Batemans Bay Mandy Mills of Forster Philadelphia Coleman of Nelson Bay.

SA: Isabella Hall of WhyallaRuby Eckermann of Murray Bridge.

VIC: Annette Waters of RochesterLouise Hobbs of Kaniva.

QLD: Kaitlin Bell of BeaudesertJasmine Elliott of Gladstone.

TAS: Imogen House of Wynyard.

NT: Melinda Mees of Humpty Doo.

WA: Bethan Rainey of Bunbury.

We were also delighted to unveil the Top 40 finalists, published below.

Thank you to everyone who entered the competition. We received the highest number of entries EVER, making it incredibly difficult to select finalists and winners. It was truly our toughest year yet. If you weren’t successful – we encourage you to enter in 2017 and to stay in touch, as we have multiple new opportunities coming soon!
