Maddie grew up on a family cattle and cropping farm in central west New South Wales before moving to Canberra to undertake a double degree; Bachelor of Advertising and Marketing Communication, Bachelor of Graphic Design. Maddie is a passionate ‘Agvocate’ for Australian farmers their families and promotes Australian owned produced food and fibre.

The book ‘Speaking Out’ by Tara Moss resonated with Maddie & she became more determined in her desire to improve the representation of women in the workforce and particularly increase their visibility in society in general. She volunteered with Country to Canberra to promote and empower rural and remote women and contribute to improved outcomes for them in the future.

Maddie has her own business ‘Maddie Cook Communications’ providing a range of communication strategies for rural clients to reach their short and long term goals. She specialises in graphic design and social media management and also offers marketing and advertising advice for businesses.

On weekends you can find Maddie enjoying a stroll through the Farmers Markets, taking landscape photographs, painting or cooking.
