Why did you enter Country to Canberra’s Leadership Competition?
I entered the Country to Canberra’s Leadership Competition because I thought it was a fantastic opportunity to advocate for change and speak on an issue I am passionate about. I hope that by entering this competition, I can also encourage other young women to do the same.

What do you hope to get out of C2C on Screen?
I hope C2C on screen can give me the guidance needed to extent and strengthen my leadership abilities and introduce me like minded people.

Who is your role model and why?
I admire women who aren’t afraid to advocate for justice within underrepresented communities. My role models include AOC, she speaks up for human rights including women’s and worker’s rights. Closer to home, Sarah Hanson-Young is one of my role models because she fights against sexism and the patriarchy in parliament.

What’s your favourite thing about living in rural Australia?
Rural Australia allows me to appreciate Australia’s natural environment and my community. Living in rural Australia gives me a familiar community to turn to and seek support in.

What’s your favourite quote?
“I raise up my voice—not so I can shout, but so that those without a voice can be heard.” – Malala Yousafzai

What’s your main goal or ambition (right now, or in the future)?
In the future I aspire to become a doctor to improve the health of the community and continue to advocate for social change. I believe that by encouraging change and promoting human rights will improve everyone’s physical and mental health and wellbeing.

Tell us a couple of things you do to relax or have fun?
Some things I enjoy doing to have fun and relax include going for runs, walking my dog, reading and spending time with friends and family.
