Why did you enter Country to Canberra’s Leadership Competition?
I entered the Country to Canberra Leadership Competition because I care about the women in my community. I want to be a strong leader and help younger girls to become strong women.
What do you hope to get out of C2C on Screen?
I am excited to meet the other girls that I will be going to Canberra with.
Who is your role model and why?
My role model is my kami (grandmother) because she is a strong woman and leader in community. Culture and Anangu way and piranpa way (western culture)
What’s your favourite thing about living in rural Australia?
My favourite thing about living in Ernabella is going out for bush trips. My favourite is to go digging for Tjala (honey ants) and maku (witchetty grubs). When we go out bush we get more family time, it makes us stronger and closer.
What’s your main goal or ambition (right now, or in the future)?
My main goal at the moment is to finish school, I will be the first person at Ernabella Anangu school since 2006 to get my SACE.
Tell us a couple of things you do to relax or have fun?
I love going for walks or cruising around community with my friends while listening to music together. Going on bush trips with my family is really calming and fun. I also like to relax and chill on my phone, watching Tik Tok and Youtube.
