Why did you enter Country to Canberra's Leadership Competition?
When I heard about C2C it was just such an incredible opportunity that I couldn’t miss it! I am very passionate about women’s rights and the chance to expand my knowledge on the impact of them on rural women is invaluable to me.
What do you hope to get out of C2C on Screen?
I hope to create new friendships with other like-minded women all over Australia and am so excited to be inspired by the incredible women we will be mentored by. I want to be able to improve the ways I express myself through C2C.
Who is your role model and why?
Eleanor Roosevelt is my role model. She was an incredibly powerful and strong woman, especially for her time. She was so passionate to spread human rights and was an advocate for social justice and I think her impact on people was so significant and meaningful.
What’s your favourite thing about living in rural Australia?
The chance to be so close to the silence and tranquillity amongst nature. I find it so invigorating to be able to surround myself with so much peace in my everyday life and I will never stop being so grateful for the chance to live in such a beautiful part of the world.
What’s your main goal or ambition (right now, or in the future)?
My goal right now is to get through my last year of school and graduate into my adult life. In the long-term, my main goal is to be happy with myself and my life. I want to be content with the impact I have on the world and intend to try my best to put myself out there as much as possible in order to help support issues and groups I care about.
Tell us a couple of things you do to relax or have fun?
I love to read, draw and spend time with our two dogs. I enjoy experimenting in the kitchen (which is sometimes not a disaster) and then feeding whatever I make to my unsuspecting family. I also love going to see movies and musical productions!
