Why did you enter Country to Canberra’s Leadership Competition?
I am keen to develop my leadership and public speaking skills personally and professionally. I am fortunate to personally know several previous C2C recipients and have first hand witness the personal growth benefits of the program. I am excited to expand my networks and meet and be inspired by likeminded women.

What do you hope to get out of C2C on Screen?
To be mentored by influential woman, who can impart their leadership knowledge and skills. To build a network of women who will inspire me to achieve, nature my potential and stretch me to go outside of my comfort zone.

Who is your role model and why?
Choosing a single role model is difficult. I have been fortunate to have many strong and inspirational women in my life. I have been privileged to have a network of family and friends who have played a large role in shaping me into the person I am today.

What’s your favourite thing about living in rural Australia?
When thinking about my experience living in rural and remote Australia it is hard not to mention the breath taking landscape, sense of space and close-knit community. Rural and remote towns offer more than the cities. Living in Nhulunbuy on traditionally owned Yolngu land is a privilege.

What’s your favourite quote?
“If you have the power to make someone happy, do it. The world needs more of that.”

What’s your main goal or ambition (right now, or in the future)?
My main goal is to focus and maintain clear and healthy headspace while entering my graduating year in 2021. My ambition post school is to complete university studies in a health-related field. I aspire to make a positive impact both personally and professionally on those around me.

Tell us a couple of things you do to relax or have fun?
I love to spend time soaking up the beauty of the beaches and ocean that surrounds East Arnhem Land. I enjoy spending time boating/fishing with my family. To unwind and maintain a balanced mental wellbeing I like to exercise and spend time with our two-family dogs.
