Why did you enter Country to Canberra’s Leadership Competition?
I believe in grabbing everything that comes my way with both hands so when I saw this amazing opportunity, it was just too good not to take! The competition combined my passion for gender equality and my love for writing and gave me challenging but exhilarating way to express myself.
What do you hope to get out of C2C on Screen?
I hope to gain strong connections with other inspiring young women which will enable us to encourage each other to do the great things we are destined for. I am also eager to further enhance the skills needed to empower other young women and make necessary changes to the world
Who is your role model and why?
I am inspired everyday by so many strong women that I come across in life. To single out just one would be difficult but if I had to pick just one I would say Jacinda Ardern for her compassion, strength and ability to lead by example during exceptional circumstances.
What’s your favourite thing about living in rural Australia?
Living rurally provides me with a range of opportunities and experiences that may not be granted to young women living in cities. I also cherish my small knit community that support me in my ventures no matter our connection and of course living near the beach isn’t too bad either!
What’s your favourite quote?
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams” – Eleanor Roosevelt
What’s your main goal or ambition (right now, or in the future)?
The goal posts that I set myself are forever changing however my lifelong goal is to live happily. I want achieve many things over the course of my life and whether it be recognised or not I dream of making a lasting impact on the lives of many. Ultimately I want to reach my full potential in whatever path take, making amazing memories with the people that I love around me.
Tell us a couple of things you do to relax or have fun?
After recently joining a local footy club there is nothing I love more than kicking the ball around or going for a run. I also spend a lot of time at the beach either reading or swimming as well as socialising with my friends at community events.
