Why did you enter Country to Canberra’s Leadership Competition?
I know that opportunities such as this arise rarely so when I had the opportunity to enter, I knew it was important to give it a go instead of allowing for it to pass and regretting not putting myself out there.
What do you hope to get out of C2C on Screen?
I hope to meet and connect with new people so that I can learn more and gain knowledge from their experiences, points of view and values.
Who is your role model and why?
I do not think I have ever looked up to a singular person as my role model instead I have always looked up to my family and friends who surround me. I am inspired by the paths they have all taken and their ability to adapt in situations.
What’s your favourite thing about living in rural Australia?
My most favourite thing about living in rural Australia is being able to appreciate the nature of the environment we live. Being on farm I have the freedom of space, fresh air and little disturbance to the calm serenity.
What’s your favourite quote?
“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.”
What’s your main goal or ambition (right now, or in the future)?
Currently my main goal whilst in school is to use my opportunity to learn to the best of my abilities so that I can successfully finish school and then follow my interests to complete a tertiary education in a field of work I enjoy. At some stage I would also really like to do some travelling in remote areas of Australia and also oversees.
Tell us a couple of things you do to relax or have fun?
To relax there are a few things I like to do like reading, cooking and going for a walk whilst listening to music. To have fun I enjoy spending time with my sister and also being down at the river skiing with family and friends.
