Why did you enter Country to Canberra's Leadership Competition?
I heard about the Country to Canberra Competition through school and then realised their values very much align with my own and they’ve done amazing work to empower young rural women, so I really wanted to take the opportunity to be part of that community.
What do you hope to get out of C2C on Screen?
Through C2C I’m hoping to connect with the other winners and gain insight to the lives of other rural women. I’m also hoping to improve my own leadership skills and learn how other people believe rural women will be drivers of change within our communities.
Who is your role model and why?
One of my main role models would have to be Ms Wilshire, our careers advisor. She is so supportive of everyone when helping them find their pathways and is so passionate about her job and helping young people realise their potential and reach their goals.
What’s your favourite thing about living in rural Australia?
My favourite thing about living in rural Australia is that it really is a lifestyle like no other. I think it’s one of the best ways a person can live, with a strong community around them and the range of opportunities and challenges it presents you with.
What’s your main goal or ambition (right now, or in the future)?
My main ambition right now is to continue to do well in my senior studies which will help me on my path to university, where I am hoping to study law or accounting with a focus on agriculture and agbusiness.
Tell us a couple of things you do to relax or have fun?
I love sport so I often go running or throw a footy or netball around to relax and have fun, especially with my friends, teammates and siblings.
