Why did you enter Country to Canberra's Leadership Competition?
I wanted the opportunity to meet people from a similar background, who also want to strengthen their communities.
What do you hope to get out of C2C on Screen?
I see this as a fantastic learning experience due to the diversity of participants. I look forward to making new friends. I'm excited by the opportunity to see other people's perspectives.
Who is your role model and why?
My Aboriginal Education Worker, Cathy. She's staunch, strong, passionate, and articulate. She's very approachable and I always learn something every time we have a yarn.
What’s your favourite thing about living in rural Australia?
I love being able to disconnect from the hustle and bustle. Our house is located on the banks of world heritage listed wetlands. It's great to connect with nature every day.
What’s your main goal or ambition (right now, or in the future)?
My main ambition is to alleviate the educational inequalities my community faces. Having experienced a range of schools due to my family relocating, I have insight into the barrier’s geography creates in regional education.
Tell us a couple of things you do to relax or have fun?
I love to bake & recently mastered my very own choc chip cookie recipe! When I'm not in the kitchen, you can catch me reading or kayaking in my backyard. I have a passion for fashion and love sustainable clothing.
