My name is Jessica Ryan, I am 17 years old and I am currently
doing Year 12. I have lived my whole life on a small farm
between Jugiong and Harden, NSW. My favourite thing about
where I live is that I am out of town and therefore I have had
the freedom to roam around without mum or dad worried about
my whereabouts (as badly). However, I would be limited to the
number of social events I could go to and because we are in a
rural area mum and dad sent me away for school to help me
find more opportunities.

I don’t have much spare time, but when I do, I love to pull out my camera and take photos of things around the farm or sit down and read a good book.

Some things I am good at would be my willingness to persevere and my ability to do well in anything I do. I have played piano since I was 18 months old and whenever I am thrown a piece that challenges me each one will teach me something different. A different way of learning, a different way to keep my patience or another way to find determination.

I have a few role models in my life; however, my biggest role model would have to be my nan. She grew up in a lifestyle where if something was broken you would fix it, and she would never give up on something she believed in. She has helped me to become the young lady I am today and has had a massive influence on my values and beliefs.
