Why did you enter Country to Canberra's Leadership Competition?
I heard about it from one of my teachers and knew it was an opportunity too good to pass up. C2C is so necessary to allow young women to reach their full potential – it’s a flow-on effect that more women are in positions of power with programs like these.
What do you hope to get out of C2C on Screen?
I hope to gain some leadership skills and make some great new friendships and strong connections through C2C - it’ll be great to have some similar minded people around me.
Who is your role model and why?
I have so many women who guide me in life whether they know it or not, but if I had to pick just one, I would have to pick Grace Tame, for her great communication skills and her fearlessness in the face of a system that works against her.
What’s your favourite thing about living in rural Australia?
I love the closeness to nature and the ability to get to peace and quiet so easily. Living in a coastal town, the ability to walk to the beach and get my mind off whatever is bothering me is so important.
What’s your main goal or ambition (right now, or in the future)?
Right now, I would love to finish school (without too much stress, hopefully!) and go to university to get my degree, maybe in International Relations. I would love to take advantage of every opportunity that comes my way in the future and make the most of every day. I want to try everything so I know what suits me.
Tell us a couple of things you do to relax or have fun?
I love music to relax - if I go without it for too long, I just end up singing to myself. I love going on a walk by myself or with friends and just chilling at the beach or listening to some music. Getting in nature really helps me to reset.
