Why did you enter Country to Canberra's Leadership Competition?
My history teacher introduced me to this amazing opportunity, and I knew I had to make the most of it. I think this opportunity would help me develop my knowledge and help empower those around me.
What do you hope to get out of C2C on Screen?
I hope to make strong connections with those I meet, learn new skills, gain a deeper understanding of issues around my community, state, and Australia and how I can help improve them or make change.
Who is your role model and why?
I don’t have an exact person who I look up to. My role models are my family and friends as I have learnt so many different things from each and every one of them and they have helped me be who I am today.
What’s your favourite thing about living in rural Australia?
I like the friendliness of everyone, the tight knit community spirits, sporting events with family and friends and the vast open spaces.
What’s your main goal or ambition (right now, or in the future)?
Firstly I want to finish high school and keep doing well and achieving good grades. For after high school, I don’t know exactly what I would like to do or be. All I know is I want to make a positive change to my community and to those around me. I want to make an impact and to help those around me who need it. This might be through teaching, self-run business for those who need help or taking a political pathway.
Tell us a couple of things you do to relax or have fun?
To relax I like to take long warm showers, watch Netflix, and look after my plants. For fun I like to play sports, cook, and bake and listen to music.
