Q&a with DR. Anika MOlesworth - Champion

What’s your preferred job title?
Farmer, scientist, storyteller.
How do you spend your days, and where do you live?
I live on my family’s sheep farm in far western NSW. I spend my days in this beautiful landscape, observing nature, working with it, and communicating topics of farming, food security and the environment. I love helping people feel connected to the land and the food system.
Why did you want to become a Country to Canberra Champion?
I have such great admiration for the C2C program and the incredible work it does. It’s a total honour to be amongst such courageous, intelligent, hard-working young women who are shaping the future for the better.
What’s one of your favourite personal achievements?
I’m currently learning how to juggle fire sticks… and although I haven’t mastered it yet, it’s heaps of fun!!
What makes you passionate about supporting young regional women?
There is so much brilliance and creativity in the community of young rural women. I want to see that brilliance and creativity unleashed on the world so it has a positive impact on shaping our future!
