Why did you enter Country to Canberra’s Leadership Competition?
I entered Country to Canberra’s Leadership Competition as it was promoted by my school, and it is a one in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for learning new skills and meeting people who have followed a similar pathway to what I want to one day achieve.
What do you hope to get out of the Power Trip?
Out of the power trip I hope to gain more confidence in public speaking, make new connections and friends, and meet CEOs and aspiring politicians who inspire me in my future pathways.
Who is your role model and why?
My role model is my Nan because she has built up a successful farm with my Pa, while also giving back to her community through her participation and support in country sports, and as a member of Rotary and the local bowls club, in which she has significant amounts of responsibility and leadership.
What’s your favourite thing about living in rural Australia?
Living in rural/regional Australia allows me to be close to all of my friends who are in the same town and build strong connections with people in my community because of proximity.
What’s your main goal or ambition (right now, or in the future)?
My main goal or ambition is to achieve the ATAR I need to enable me to get into the university courses of either international relations or law, to allow me to one day achieve my dream career.
Tell us a couple of things you do to relax or have fun?
To relax or have fun, I enjoy taking my dog for a walk, playing my bass guitar, and playing online games with my friends and siblings. I also enjoy catching up with my friends outside of school.
