Why did you enter Country to Canberra’s Leadership Competition?
I decided to participate in the Country to Canberra Leadership Competition after my school offered me the opportunity. Living on an island, I believe this experience would be incredibly valuable for my personal and leadership development.
What do you hope to get out of the Power Trip?
Through this opportunity, I aim to connect with diverse leaders across Australia, gain insights into rural experiences, and develop new skills. I hope to bring fresh ideas to my community while building my confidence and discovering more about who I am as a leader.
Who is your role model and why?
My mum is my greatest inspiration. Despite her busy schedule, she tirelessly supports our community. Her strength motivates me, and I hope to be like her one day. No matter the opinions of others, she remains true to her values, teaching me to stand up for what I believe in.
What’s your favourite thing about living in rural Australia?
I love being surrounded by great people and having plenty of space to grow and thrive. I really appreciate having a beautiful spot to enjoy, away from the hustle and bustle of crowds.
What’s your main goal or ambition (right now, or in the future)?
Right now, I’m focused on finishing year 12 and getting a solid ATAR. After that, I really want a career working with animals, considering I’ve always loved them. I also want to travel around Australia, exploring all it’s awesome places!
Tell us a couple of things you do to relax or have fun?
Spending time with family and friends is one of my favourite ways to have fun. I enjoy horse riding, playing netball, photography, camping, reading and other outdoor activities. I like to relax with music, and have time outside of the house.
