Country to Canberra has been a part of Rachel’s life since 2015, when she was one of the 2015 Leadership Competition winners. She joined the team in 2018 as the Blogger Team Director, in a role she loves and is very passionate about.

Hailing originally from Birpai land (Port Macquarie, NSW), Rachel now lives in Sydney where she works as a software engineer at Canva.

 In her free time she enjoys learning languages, sewing, roller-skating, and volunteering with tech outreach programs like the Girls’ Programming Network. She also likes making cheese (very successfully) and experimental fermented drinks (with somewhat varying degrees of success).
