Not far from the charming coastal town of Port Elliot in South Australia sits Wildfire Organic Tea. An award winning and handcrafted tea company founded by owner Jane Burke, this tea company not only provides beautifully tasting and blended tea, but an apothecary. Jane is also a qualified Medical Herbalist and is passionate about using natural herbs and wholefood plants to help people improve their lifestyles and wellbeing.
So why should you visit Wildfire Organic Tea on your next trip down to the Fleurieu Peninsula? Well firstly, the range of teas available – that’s why! Jane has worked very hard to create teas that are out of this world, from the spicy Ginger Ninja to the popular Tree of Life, which you can have as a hot or iced tea. Ice chocolates and ice chai drinks are also available, made completely from natural ingredients with many health benefits for your body and wellbeing. This can be found in all of her teas, especially her apothecary.
Directly across from the main counter are the apothecary teas, smelling from peppermint to rose, which you can choose from and blend yourself to make your very own tea mix! Let’s say you have a problem with digestion, or have a cold or the flu. You can take your pick as every tea is labelled with its own uses, and Jane is on hand if you have any questions or concerns.
And while you’re sitting down for a lovely hot or iced tea, why not add a raw cake, nourish bowl or chia pot to the side? Or go even further with a full platter, complete with fresh fruit, vegetables, bread and vegan cheese.
Finally to add to the atmosphere, choose a record and listen to your chosen music fill the entire space. Browse what’s on offer to buy, like the colourful iron teapots that Jane herself uses, imported from China. Bring your dogs along as well! There is plenty of space out front, with water provided and fun neckties that you can buy for your dog which you can see being modelled on Jane’s adorable dog SooTEA.
So please, if you happen to be close by or are looking for a unique experience, come down to Wildfire Organic tea, open on weekends. I promise you won’t be disappointed. All it took was for me to have one taste and I was hooked! And I can guarantee you will be too!
