CEO Announcement 2022

We have some incredibly exciting news to share!

In 2020, Han Worsley took over as CEO of C2C from our Founder and inaugural CEO, Hannah Wandel. At this point, the decision was made to use the C2C Volunteer Team to create leadership pipelines.

At our core, Country to Canberra is about creating leadership opportunities for young women and non-binary people, so it makes perfect sense that we would lead by example with our most visible role – that of the CEO. As such, every 2-3 years, we will transition to a new CEO, to ensure that we are providing opportunities for as many passionate young women and non-binary people as possible.

Today, we are extremely thrilled to announce that the next step in our CEO Pipeline is taking place. As of this week, Han has vacated the CEO role, and handed it over to our current Power Trip Director, Pauline Siteaud. Pauline has been a vital part of the C2C team since 2018, acting as Power Trip Director through Covid-19, where she spearheaded our pivot to C2C On Screen. Pauline is passionate about intersectional feminism, and raising awareness of the social and economic impacts of gender inequality, and the entire C2C team is thrilled to see her take the helm of the organisation.

“I’m extremely proud and excited to be stepping into the role of CEO at Country to Canberra, following both Hannah Wandel and Han Worsley’s incredible achievements in the role. I look forward to broadening Country to Canberra’s positive reach and impact on gender equality across the country.”

We’re also very happy to say that this isn’t the end of Han’s time with C2C. After leading C2C through two very turbulent and uncertain years due to Covid-19, Han will staying on as part of our Volunteer Team. “Leading the Country to Canberra team has been a privilege. I am excited to remain on the team and keep making a difference across rural Australia with our suite of award-winning programs.”

We thank Han for their services as CEO, where they were an extremely calm, steady and guiding force through such a unique time in history.

Congratulations to Pauline and Han – you both are inspirations to the entire C2C community!

Want to get to know our new CEO Pauline?

French-born, Pauline moved to Australia at the age of 12 and spent her teenage years growing up on the NSW South Coast in Batemans Bay, on Yuin Country.

After entering Country to Canberra’s 2016 Leadership Competition and thinking about her future, Pauline became more aware of the difficulties faced by young people in regional Australia, and the existing barriers to leadership opportunities.
