Announcing our 2018 Leadership Competition Winners! #C2CGirlsLead

We were thrilled to unveil EIGHTEEN winners of Country to Canberra’s 2018 Leadership Competition – more champions than ever before! The 2018 winners are an exciting group of young female rural leaders, who submitted passionate videos, stories and ideas about navigating the road to gender equality. The winners were:

SA: Taylor-Jade Glover of Cummins, Abi Archbold of Victor Harbor, Madeline McShane of Port Lincoln

NSW: Nayani Navaneethan of Griffith, Grace Mudge of Dubbo, Blessy Fernandez of Goulburn

NT: Isabel Blundell of Nhulunbuy, Emma Angstmann of Nhulunbuy

VIC: Hannah Whytcross of Camperdown, Vanisre Rajasegaran of Warrnambool

QLD: Kate Perrett of Nanango, Shekinah Taderera of Port Douglas, Ameliija Swaffer-Selff

TAS: Sadie Buckland of Cygnet, Chloe Quillerat of Redpa

WA: Sarah Recklies of Kununarra, Hannah Bowden of Busselton, Sophie Luscombe of Vasse/Busselton

We were also delighted to unveil the Top 40 finalists, published below.

Thank you to everyone who entered the competition. We received a huge number of entries, and all of the submissions were of phenomenal quality, making the selection process incredibly tough. It truly left us inspired by the future generation of young female rural leaders! If you weren’t successful – we encourage you to enter in 2019 and to stay in touch, as we have multiple opportunities arising, from our Blogger Team to our Project Empower workshops.
