We are thrilled to unveil EIGHTEEN winners of Country to Canberra’s 2019 Leadership Competition – more amazing champions of gender equality and empowerment! The 2019 winners are an exciting group of young female rural leaders, who submitted passionate videos and stories about gender equality and rural Australia. The winners are:

NSW: Jessica Larter of Tumut + Jessica Bennett of Canowindra + Imogen McDonald of Inverell + Siena Bordignon of Coffs Harbour.
 

SA: Bethany Castle of Kingston SE + Sienna Putland of Parndana.

VIC: Lucy Borchier of Koonoomoo + Anna Scott of Inverloch.

QLD: Eliza Lyall of Almaden + Kara Trimble of Mareeba + Jasmine Thompson of Charters Towers + Heather Proud of Roma.

TAS: Freya Cooper of Mayberry + Maggie Sheehan of Ulverstone.

NT: Tahli Stimpson of Nhulunbuy + Ianna Lalim of Katherine.

WA: Jaimee Whirledge of Busselton + Kyla Ramos of Harvey.

Thank you to everyone who entered the competition. We received a huge number of entries, making it incredibly difficult to select finalists and winners. It was truly our toughest year yet. If you weren’t successful – we encourage you to enter in 2020 and to stay in touch, as we have multiple new opportunities coming soon!
